Hawzah News Agency- In a message released on Monday, Hojatoleslam Hamid Shahriari said the demise of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani had caused deep grief and sorrow among the Qom seminary, followers of the Ahl al-Bayt and all admirers of the late cleric.

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The passing of the matchless jurist of the age, the high-ranking authority of the Shia world, the teacher of teachers and the beloved of students, Grand Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mousa Shobeiri Zanjani (may God Almighty be pleased with him), has caused deep grief and profound sorrow in the Qom seminary, among the general body of admirers of the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and has left his devotees impoverished.
Undoubtedly, the name of this man — adorned with divine ethics, holding fast to the mantle of the Prophet and possessing a heart devoted to the guardianship of Imam Ali — will shine forever on the proud stage of the arena of godly scholars, and the brilliance of that light is the path his students strive to follow. This scholar, detached from the world and beyond the veil of knowledge and religious edicts, was in complete readiness for divine meeting through his connection to the source of divine greatness and the sanctity of God's honor, and his radiant appearance and luminous character bore witness to this.
Those who had the opportunity to study for a time under his special and general instruction know that the professor had traversed a raging sea of prophetic knowledge and had plumbed the depths of oceans of Ahl al-Bayt jurisprudence. In his time, no seeker could match him, and the depth of his classroom required the explanation and interpretation of the most distinguished scholars.
I offer my condolences over the loss of this outstanding figure of the era and luminous face of the time — which constitutes a great loss for the Islamic seminaries and the Shia world — to the presence of His Holiness the Imam of the Age (may God hasten his reappearance), the Supreme Leader, the high-ranking sources of emulation, the Islamic seminaries, the students and admirers of that departed scholar, and to all Shia Muslims and lovers of knowledge and truth. I beseech the Almighty God to elevate the ranks of that great man of jurisprudence and raise his station with the divine saints, and to grant patience and reward to the bereaved, the honorable Shobeiri family and all mourners.

Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, one of the most senior sources of emulation for Shia Muslims, passed away earlier this week, prompting an outpouring of condolences from religious and political leaders across the Islamic world.
The late cleric, born in the Iranian holy city of Qom in 1928, dedicated nearly his entire life to the study, teaching and advancement of Islamic jurisprudence, earning recognition among his peers as one of the foremost researchers of Shia Islam in the contemporary era.
Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, described him as a "meticulous and profound researcher" whose loss has created a gap among the foremost Shia researchers of the present age that may take a long time to fill.
Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli also paid tribute, saying the late cleric had spent a century in the service of the Quran, the Ahl al-Bayt and the guidance of the people.
Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani was widely respected for his meticulous scholarship, his mastery of the various disciplines related to the deduction of religious rulings, and his humble, fatherly conduct toward seminary students and scholars. His classes were renowned as gatherings of deep inquiry and rigorous study.
